Righteousness Exalts A Nation

Righteousness exhalts
God is not man, and his judgements of the nations and their leaders are based on his own righteous standard, not our's.

If we take a long, hard look at what is happening in the world today, it is sometimes difficult to comprehend one particularly important principle: that God is ruling in the kingdoms of men.

In this study, we let our minds reflect on the international judgement of God among the nations.

What does the Bible reveal about his political activity among the kingdoms of men?

What standard should we look to for our example in the affairs of human governments?

This lesson shows the value of practicing and encouraging a greater righteousness from ourselves and others. We can have a righteous influence and thus a preserving influence for our nation. When we practice and encourage righteousness we are doing the most important thing we can do for our country. Certain statistics are given that show the early influence of Christianity upon our country. We have moved too far and too fast away from earlier righteous practices. Righteousness must be exalted to a greater degree again. These basic principles need to be heard over and over again so that we are motivated to contend for the gospel of the grace of God wherein righteousness is revealed. Only those who work righteousness are accepted by God. Thank you for a great lesson.
