Moses

The Authorship of the Book of Deuteronomy

There have always been those who, for whatever reasons, have made every effort to undermine and supplant the word of God. That was Satan’s initial strategy. And so it is today with those who seek to destroy our confidence in the authorship and inspiration of the Bible.

No better example could be found than those lofty literary critics born from skepticism and “reason” of the 19th century. With “scholarship” on their side, the higher critics ran rampant with theory and speculation about the “true” authors of the biblical text and with the expressed goal of rescuing the Bible from myth and fable.

In large part, the liberal theologian has been successful in destroying the word of God among the ignorant and unlearned. Those who dwell in the fantasy land of emotional argument are easily persuaded with the infidel’s reasoning.

But the skeptic’s sophistry is exposed in the light of true scholarship and honest evaluation of the facts.

In J.W. McGarvey’s book, The Authorship of the Book of Deuteronomy, the professor wields the sword of reason and true scholarship against those forces that would attack the Pentateuch and thus the very foundations of the Holy Book.

In this resource, we have included the public domain version of J.W. McGarvey’s scholarly work. It is also indexed to be keyword searchable for your research and study.

Biblical ethics

Biblical Ethics and Modern Science

In an increasingly complex world with technology and information growing at a mind numbing pace, one of the most challenging questions we face in our era continues to be, “Is it right or wrong?”

In this special report, Wayne Jackson addresses some of the more difficult ethical questions humanity has never before had to face by applying timeless biblical principles that will never be out of date or displaced by technological advances.
